Hi,
My name is Kristine Matheson and I am very fortunate to still be in the land of living after being diagnosed in 2005 with stage IV Melanoma and advised by the oncologist to go away and get my affairs in order, as there was nothing anyone could do for me. In his opinion, I was going to be dead within 12 months.
After the initial shock, that took a week to sink in, anxiety took over my whole body like an enormous earthquake, I took control of my mind to get rid of the subliminal subconscious message relayed to me by this very unaware man who was supposed to be in a position of doing no harm – is this not the oath that the medical profession take when qualified in their chosen profession? Upon reflection, in my heart, I knew I was not going to die, as I had a greater purpose – show others how not to die either.
So here we go! I recently published my book ‘From Cancer to Wellness – the forgotten secrets’ – a step by step handbook for beating cancer, thanks to the help of many who contributed to the costs of printing and of course the employment of a good publicist. A good publicist is a must. What is the point of writing such an important document if it only gets to be another book on your own bookshelf and that of your family and friends?
So I am now off and running, books in all Angus & Robertson’s and Borders stores throughout Australia together with Health/Organic Food Stores everywhere, a few Dymocks stores are carrying this and some pharmacies, doctors and naturopaths. Good stuff! We have only been out there since the 1st week in February.
I might add, purchases are slow in areas I have not been to make my mark – it is interesting, that health/organic food stores sell out without the publicity. Book stores need that extra backup.
I went to Adelaide 2 weeks ago. What a whirl wind. I was interviewed there by two radio stations and the biggie was ‘Today Tonight’ – only viewed in Adelaide so far, and hopeful for a National coverage. I prepared food on air and met some really amazing people. Did some book signings too. My friend Sylvie came with me, she is such good company and we had a very productive fun time. I have added a photo of us at the owners of the Mirage Cafe in the city. Hopefully they will start using some of the recipes in my book to serve to their customers.

Interest in the US has started with Clean Surroundings taking on the book to promote over his web site – plus The Beyond50’s Radio is going to run a story. Mind you this subject does not just relate to those over 50.
We head for Sydney in last week of May to do more book signings, radio and hopefully more television.
End of June we are planning our first seminar. Speakers will be myself of course, Dr Carlos Orozoco - PhD, Reproductive Immunology and Biochemistry, Wayne Matheson – Personal Trainers, specialising in rehabilitation and mind body connection, mediation.
Well that it for my first week, I will keep you posted to my progress and where and when the seminar will be held. Bye for now Kristine S Matheson
